At Bex, we do everything we can to support our customers. From our in-house studio team and dedicated account managers, to 24 hour quoting and 10-25 day lead times, we constantly strive to improve our offering to meet your manufacturing goals.

Another one of the services we offer is rapid prototyping, where we create bespoke prototypes for customers to test and modify, to ensure that the final product is perfect.

Rapid prototyping enables you to accelerate product development timelines, meaning you can test, refine and approve products quickly to meet your deadlines.

How we do rapid prototyping

Screen printing is at the heart of what we do here at Bex, and we also have a full flatbed digital printing press and can combine both.

Both processes are versatile, meaning they allow us to produce prototypes at speed. This is particularly important as customers often require a range of design concepts or variations turned around quickly to finalise products.

Traditional manufacturing methods often involve expensive tooling and setup costs. However, screen and digital printing are much more cost-effective processes, meaning it’s viable to create multiple variations and even small-scale projects can afford prototyping.

We also offer a free swatch book which allows customers to quickly decide which materials to select for their prototypes by getting hands on with the different options.

Why we offer rapid prototyping

Rapid prototyping offers a number of advantages to our customers.

Firstly, rapid prototyping with screen and digital printing allows manufacturers to review and refine various design elements including colours, textures and graphics. While you may have produced a design you like on screen, there’s nothing like seeing and holding the finished product. The design team can easily make changes at the prototyping stage to ensure the final product aligns with their initial brief and vision.

Prototyping also provides a visual representation to show stakeholders within your business. Some designs may be difficult to explain through digital renderings alone. Physical prototypes make it easier for stakeholders to grasp complex ideas.

Furthermore, physical prototypes also allow you to carry out important usability tests to ensure that your components work with your final product. This is a vital stage in the product development process to ensure the design meets the required functionality of the product.

Finally, prototypes are also a useful marketing tool that can be taken to pitches and trade shows to showcase your product to potential buyers and investors to generate interest.

Rapid prototyping plays a vital role in streamlining the design and development process, leading to better final products and successful outcomes. Contact us to find out more.
