What Is Anodising?
We have the skills and technology in-house to manufacture extra durable anodised aluminium labels, nameplates and signs which will last many years, even under extreme conditions and continuous use.
The chemical process involved leaves a porous surface which makes printing possible. The anodising process is interrupted and a special anodising ink is applied via screen printing onto the unsealed aluminum surface, with the ink being absorbed into the open pores of the anodised layer. The process is finished (sealed) with a very thin oxide layer created, covering the printed surface and protecting it from outside influences. This produces printed signs and plates that are wipe and scratch resistant and resistant to oils and diluting agents.
“Anodising is a simple, fast, yet incredibly effective process that gives a high level of protection to your product ensuring long life. It is considered environmentally safe, producing few, if any, harmful effects on land, air, or water.“
