The Pantone Colour of the Year 2023 has been announced, with a colour that signifies strength.

A striking colour called Viva Magenta 18-1750 was announced by Pantone as its colour of the year 2023.

What is the Pantone Colour of the Year?

Pantone is one of the leading institutes in the world for all things colour related. Best known for its colour matching system, the Pantone Colour of the Year is announced every December. 

First announced in 2000, the annual event sets a trend for the marketing and creative industries with each year’s chosen colour usually seeing an increase in use.

What is the 2023 Pantone Colour of the Year?

Pantone’s Color of the Year 2023 is Viva Magenta 18-1750. According to Pantone, Viva Magenta is “rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength.”

The design company says the colour “vibrates with vim and vigour” is a pulsating colour that is “brave and fearless”.
