Bex Design Posts Record Results For 2021.
Much like 2020, this year hasn’t been without some huge challenges. However, we are thrilled to report that once again business at Bex Design & Print has exceeded all expectations! Powered by our incredible teams, cutting-edge technology and our ever expanding range of products, our high standards of service, production, and quality have remained at the forefront this year, and the rewards have been outstanding with 42 new accounts opened.

Record Results – Month on Month
Let’s start with the figures: Right from the off in January 2021 right through to November we’ve continually achieved incredible results! The highest monthly increase we experienced was in May – 70% up on May 2020 – with June a close second with a 63% increase. June also became the new record month for the business, but September saw this increased again with both months then eclipsed by November when we recorded the best month ever on record! A huge shout out to our staff and also a very big “thank you” for your business no matter how big or small.
We aren’t slowing down either! Current projections show that we will achieve an increase of 20% for sales over the last 12 months, which will be another record! Looking to the future we have taken on 4 apprentices who are currently split between the shop floor and our offices, learning all aspects of the business to help take on the challenges we continue to face.
Businesses Sourcing Locally
The COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit has impacted international shipments in a number of ways, exacting a less than favourable knock-on effect on businesses’ overseas supply chains.
Most notably, caps on capacity for transport via land, air, and sea have led to soaring shipping costs and more competitive pricing from UK based suppliers. As a result, we continue seeing a surge in businesses moving away from sourcing product from China, the Far East and the US and instead looking to purchase their products from a local, reliable supplier who can offer quick lead times, fair prices, and uncompromising quality.
With this new business, we’re also seeing much larger piece part orders, leading to significantly larger print runs. Consequently, our print and finishing machines are operating at high capacity, which means lower up-front costs and a robust bottom line.

After a very tough year in 2020, we’ve worked incredibly hard to pull off the best year of business Bex has ever seen! Tried and tested processes, a truly dedicated team, and proactive investment in new equipment, including a new laser to increase production throughput enables us to meet and exceed our clients’ shifting needs consistently – no matter the circumstances.
We still face the challenges of self-isolation for both our staff and supply chain, but with the majority of the materials which were in short supply during the height of the pandemic returning to pre-pandemic stock levels, we are confident that our service levels can and will only improve further.
