As part of our drive for continuous improvement, we have recently upgraded our Laser Cutting and Engraving services by investing in a Epilog Fusion Pro.

This new machine will help deliver increased accuracy, speed and capacity during the finishing phase of production. With 5G acceleration and 165 IPS (4.2 m/s) engraving speeds, the Epilog Fusion Pro laser machine provides the fastest engraving speeds in the industry, while the powerful IRIS™ Camera Positioning system allows the operator to precisely place artworks on screen in seconds.

Innovation

At Bex, we are constantly looking for ways to excel in both productivity and quality of product. One of the ways we do this is by investing in the latest and most innovative machinery and our new Epilog Fusion Pro engraver and cutter is one of the fastest and most productive laser machines available – perfect for our high capacity manufacturing schedules! Overhead IRIS™ Camera Positioning provides an accurate picture of the working area for highly accurate artwork placement.

Why laser?

Precision when cutting or engraving materials is essential for all of the jobs that we produce at Bex Design and the Epilog Fusion Pro is capable of both cutting and engraving materials with speed and accuracy.

Laser cutting is a quick and highly accurate process which leaves a clean edge on the material (as opposed to a router which can leave a burred edge). The machine can easily handle acrylic, laminates, wood and plastics etc., making it extremely versatile.

Laser engraving is frequently used with laminated materials, for example when engraving a top layer which sits over a different coloured base layer that then shows through. Typical materials we engrave are wood, metal, glass and perspex.

Speed & Capacity

Epilog lasers are one of the fastest in the marketplace! By processing at a maximum speed of 4.2 m/sec and acceleration of 5g, the machine is designed to increase production efficiency. The large bed size of the machine accommodates jobs of up to 914 x 610mm, increasing our capacity and often eliminating the need to pre-cut materials.

Low to No Downtime

Thanks to the closed construction, the essential components of the machine are protected from dirt and dust. This is vital for Bex, as we strive to keep downtime to a minimum and can operate this machine with virtually zero maintenance or cleaning. This also results in lower cost of ownership for us!

In summary, this machine will deliver:
> great speed
> greater production capacity
> increased accuracy & precision
> less downtime
